Also, my contact at IMI sent me an email earlier this week, he is hoping to have a photograph available for me later today. I'll post it as soon as I get it. In the meantime, the length of the OE starter is 7.125”, while the IMI starter is only 5.75" in length.

A lot of the benefits have already been discussed at length in this thread and the cross-referenced threads on 924board.org and in the NA forum. It might be helpful for you to review the benefits discussed earlier, as they go beyond simply higher torque starting for high compression race motors.

I HAVE read this thread in it's entirety, though I will admit I did not read cross ref'd threads.
One mention of the posibilitly of using a smaller, lower cca batery is the only benefit I see mentioned, and it certainly is not discussed at length......... No worries mate
