What? you're saying a motor will only last 25k with Autothority chips?

I bought my car with 226,000 miles on the clock. I did however buy the car with the engine out and in pieces because it needed a rebuild. That said there was no indication it had been rebuilt before that.

Well, those are the chips that run lean on boost.

I mostly meant that it wasnt 216k stock miles.

150,000 miles. Burns a bit of oil, leaks a bit more. Leak-down and compression numbers are great, though; less than 4% in all cylinders.

Odometer died at 200k, so an estimated 205k miles with no record of a rebuild, except I added an upgraded cylinder head, used an MLS gasket and gave it a little extra head torque (for the 25psi boost) some 30k miles ago.

Last leak-down was done maybe 10k miles ago showing about 2% on all cylinders and it still feels like it has it ... so I am impressed by Porsche.

8 years, 148,000 miles of proper abuse. No major issues, no oil leaks, burns a fair about of oil when I'm on high boost, no smoke and nothing noticable other then adding a qt every 1000-1500 miles.

I believe the bottom end of my engine has never been touched.

Don't screw around with these cars, and keep up the periodic maintenance, and these cars are damned near bullet proof.
Start modding, park it for a long time, get slack on maintenance, then all bets are off. My current car has 167k.
