Ok so this is a 968 w s/c? Interesting. My point was more on your angle of entry rather than the performance variables. I also realise that what you see on video and what's happening is often not quite the same. Looks like fun though. Is the track shortened at all in this vid?

-im "only" running 14psi boost on the track- maybe 15 max. So about 250 to the rear wheels we'll say.

there is about a two/three second difference in the pro track IIRC from this one. I have another vid loading right now from the fest w/ the pro track but i was having some serious tire overheating issues w/ my old 16x8's in this vid and my wife was in the car so i wasnt running all out.

it takes awhile to get Mid Ohio down pat- at least it has for me. Everyone has their own lines- some drive the instructor line and some run the race line. I have a combination of both and i do what my car likes is rather wide sometimes to allow for the boost to build or to keep the boost from spinning the car around. I'll have to load my other mid ohio vid as well- that one was pretty fast too.

The problem with digital hard drives is that they are prone to shut off due to vibration so we're stuck with tape.

Oh yezzir you stand correct. The best thing is to find a MiniDV camcorder. MiniDV are the little tiny tapes. They last 60 minutes in highest quality, and 90 minutes in the longer play, reduced quality. Bring a stack of 5 for like 25 bucks and youre good to go. I cant even imagine winding a 60 minute tape on a track though. Thats too much driving without stopping to eat at least 4 times.

You get a little loose there about 10:28 in. Good thing you were takin it easy with the wife along!! I wasn't expecting you to blow by turn two like that. I've driven the pro course but really miss the 2/3 setup for the keyhole. That is one of my fav places to let the car rotate. Now I know who put them fingerprints on my concourcar. You've really got that girl cranking!!

Cya soon!

Trackpedia lists typical lap times for 944 Cup (non-turbo?) as 141.9 for the pro course (no chicane). Unfortunately, no data for same car on club course.

I did the club course in 1:09 and change in my BMW. Granted, it was a Sauber F1 car on R-factor, but that's irrelevant.

It's gotta be more than that... I make 250 at the wheels with a stock turbo S (open exhaust) and that's at about 11 psi.
