Default WTB: aluminum skid plate (rear motor/bell)

Hey guys,

Just like it says....I need a good condition skid plate in the worst way AND in a hurry. This is the one to the rear of the motor/bell housing. I would also like to get the plastic one in front of this one. But the Aluminum one is critical.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Money in hand.

Thanks,

PATRICK

Worst way? Most 951s no longer have them.

Yep. Never seen a 951 that actually has one still on it. I've only heard about them on a very very rare occassion.

That's odd I have them on both my 951's and assumed everyone does. The aluminum one is supposed to direct cooling air across the oil pan.

I had them both but took off the aluminum one because it was such a pain in the *** to get it on and off. Obviously it was there to smooth things out underneath, but my guess is not many 951's have them on these days...

944online Patrick. I was planning on ordering both pieces for my car since mine currently doesn't have either.

I'm looking for the plastic skid plate myself.

I'll check the parts car again, but I think the spare aluminum pan is already gone. I'll be back home on Sunday.

Will the aluminum one even stay on without the plastic skid? I was going to install the aluminum one the other day, but it looked like the leading edge of it has to attach to the skid to hold it up. Maybe I was looking at it - I didn't spend much time playing with it.

I have all my belly pans in place as well, although I will agree that many 951's no longer have them on.

My 200K mile 4th owner 951 has all skid plates in place as well.... I added fender washers to keep it in place where it mounts in the wheel well in fact...
