Heya Guys! Sorry for waiting so long to chime in. I'm really pleased to see Trav bringing her home to Nelson's, it seems like a great fit for what we do. In the last week I spent a lot of time getting glacier girl back in order, there was dust since last fest, but she is really coming around now. My track tires and pads are all burnt up and I can't justify the $$ for more, so I'm building it back toward street. I've added an outlaw muffler to hush my 4" while keeping the flow up, and I'm not sure if I'll even run the DE as the PCA has some new seat/belt rules. Stock belts feel so inadequite one you have lapped in 4 pointers or better. Anyway, I'm working with Trav behind the scenes, it seems my major roll will be composing a Gimmally to melt your brains Saturday afternoon. Of course I will have to transport beer, so the gimally might be my second major task.

Heads up..If you want DYNO time, sign up NOW. If we don't get at least 10 ish spots filled I don't think we'll get to see Toolman and the 09 shootout. I'm done spinning drums, the boost is backed off and the can of carnuba is coming out. While Skippy is coaxing you all to do the DE Sat/Sunday, I'll counter that the Fest activities are a once a year event, while DE tracktime is a every weekend if not daily availability. No hard feelings either way, but the Fest Gimmally winners will receive TWO trophies, each equal to the Grand Champion's unique piece.

Sorry I have not been on Renny much lately, but life calls to other priorities. I'm raising two very awesome little girls, and tonight I celebrated 14 years of wedded near-bliss with Kate.

Many things change, but I'm glad to see a lot stay the same.
Geoff, you will be missed, sir!

I'm looking for some feedback on the Gimmick Rally. It is a neat way to have a fun drive Saturday afternoon, but it is a lot of work. I'm glad to do the set up if there are enough teams that want to face the challenge. The drives where we all try to stay together are fun, but very hard, if not impossible, to keep everyone together. Please let me know if you would rather Gimmally, Track, or sit around/something else sat afternoon. For those who haven't done a Gimmally, here is a brief description:
Gimmick Rallys vary widely; the topic is far to broad to cover in a brief note. Generally these are low key events where the primary object is to have fun, rather than serious competition. A Gimmick rally is a very good way to introduce yourself to the sport of Rally. Normally a Gimmick rally will have some puzzle to solve. Often the contestants must search for answers to questions, which may provide clues to where the rally route goes, and might be answers to questions about signs and buildings on the route. The Gimmick may be to draw a playing card at each checkpoint, also known as a control, and the best pokerhand wins. Most, but not all, Gimmick Rallies are won by luck or chance, rather than skill. That is why they are not considered competitive.
See ya'll in 1.5 months!

Count me in for the Gimmick rally. Especially, if Winslow will be there.

We have our honor to uphold.

Herbie may not make it onto the track this year. We are concentrating our efforts to getting DrGoodwench's (Jen) car track ready. I will be available to instruct if needed.

Just registered. Will be doing the DE on Friday only, and this year I'll actually clean the track guck off of my car before presenting in the show. See you all there!

The gimmick rally sounds like fun, especially if I get my wife to go.

My car would definitely be a dog on the dyno.

Curious to see if Dan will surpass Sam this year.

Not as long as I go after him.

We have talked about it, not sure we will even run them this year...I think we would both like to hit 400rwhp for ****s/giggles...we'll see.

I swear I'm going to make it back to 944fest some day. But this year I will be on my honeymoon. Perhaps next year...(which I seem to say every year...)

How about a cross-post for more exposure.
