Very exciting, Michelle! How long do you expect the swap to take? I've always been curious about standalone, but didn't like some of the drawbacks of the early versions (lack of functioning stock gauges).

I was also at the Farm and Fleet to pick up a 36mm wrench for the 951. It's a small town...

I'm back to the salt mines tomorrow, and I've got a 14 day old wrencher in training waiting for me in the evenings. Most of my "free time" is on the weekends, and it sounds like you'll be finished by then. However, if you're still working on it come this weekend, give me a shout. I'd really love to have a look, learn and lend a hand.

I am happy...!
Actually most of the modern stand alones are pretty capable, I am always happy to see somebody going that route.

PS - anything that lets you throw away the stock harness has to be a plus!!!

I hadn't thought of that, but it sounds fun. That's the advantage of going stand alone, eh?

I am sooooo excited! The old system (MAF, piggyback, EBC...) was like having a Windows computer without decent drivers. Now it's all seamless. It's gonna be nice getting rid of all the peripherals and streamlining the engine management.

I left you a message: I need to know which trigger is for the spped sensor and which for the ref sensor.

It's pretty much back together. I need to wire it in and wire the balance resistors.
