Please dont take this the wrong way but with they way the economy is right now you might need to drop your price about 10 grand.

I know this from experience.

yeah no kidding. I seriously almost bought Judson's car...and I had just bought a 951 a few months prior, as previously mentioned...that I spent too much on...and had to send it to the shop a month later for a head gasket and a bunch of 'while you're in there...' stuff that's gonna cost me several grand.

$28k ain't gonna happen. Judson's was one of the best I'd seen and I think he sold his for ~$15k.

No but, 28k is kind of a joke. Maybe you can list it on autotrader and craiglist and get lucky. In todays economy unfortunately these cars aren't bringing nearly what we'd want for them.

No disrespect to you, Albert or the car intended, but 28K is a laugh riot.

It's not even a real 951. It's a 944S2 with a 951 engine.
12k TOPS.
That's a good price for this car.
Good luck.

That sucks you might have to sell it. But as others have said...now is not the time to sell a modified S2/951. You will have to sell for a loss and judging by your asking price...a huge loss. It's a buyers market right now... If you can hold onto it and wait a couple years, things will rebound.

Now, if you part it.....I'd be interested in that wing!

Good Luck!

I am looking to sell my car here soon as well. Not to kick you in the nuts, but that price is to high for your car. Don't get me wrong, you have done a LOT of work to the car but you just won't get your money out of it like you think. When I put mine up for sale, I will be asking around $13k range but I will see how that works out for me.

I traded it for my 993. With over 40K in receipts. I'm just tring to break even for my trade.

sorry to tell you this, but if you traded a 993 straight up for that car you were raped, repeatedly and without lubrication.

sadly, one can expect a return of about a dime on the dollar for 'investing' in these vehicles. Drive them, spend money on them because you love them...not because you think you can pass the buck on to the next buyer. I bought a nice 951 last year but I way overpaid based on what I'm seeing cars going for now. By the time it gets out of the shop w/ new head gasket, timing belt, water pump, new cam tower, Tial 38mm WG w/ MBE, gauge cluster and all new vacuum lines under the hood I'll have $15k in the car. I'd be lucky to sell it for $9-10k. Oh well...

Hmm, I don't think so.

Honestly selling money wise the 951 is less than the 993. However as a car itself the 951 has LOTS of $$ into it - I'd say the trade was completely fair but selling the 951 will be more difficult.

J, despite what others have said, I think your car would be worth every penny. I will agree that in this economy you will have a tough time selling it, especially given the fact that others have GIVEN there pristine cars away recently. You have a very very nice example, hold onto it and enjoy it. Give it a few years and try again. I am going through the same thing as of now and I have decided that I am not willing to listen to rennlist and give my car away.

^^ +1 Rennlist shouldn't be your only ad - there are buyers out there though they may take longer to find. The car caters to a very narrow group - don't listen to RL and give up - someone out there wants your car.
