How about no music next time? Seems like too many car videos are ruined by overlaying crap music onto them. Usually Death Metal or Eurotrash. Both crap.
Let the engine be the music!

I've always thought that car look super cool! Some great stuff aerodynamically on that car. Oh and the new paint work is great
Too bad there wasn't any inside footage.

Awesome, simply awesome. Sh&t is it my imagination but in the last part of the video it does look like if he is getting away from a gt1.

There is no way this car made 550WHP at 16 psi! I am familiar with the Fabcar 944t's. One of our customers has one and although the car is bad ***,the supporting parts on their are not enough to make that kind of power at those boost levels. No way, no how.Now if they said 26 psi, I would agree.

I see. My bad, I still dont see this car making that kind of power with the great powerband it has, not at 16 psi. The boost pressure is the only thing I am questioning.

I will be expecting the same from my motor. I just don't have the turbo that will be efficient above 500whp. So at 15psi.. Im expecting 460-480whp.
Never say never!.. Surprised you're naysaying. Usually its me!

Yes but lowering the compression from 11 to 1 to 8 to 1 wil take away all the mysterious power you found. And I have never seen a 968 make 270@ wheels in an NA application. And I wasnt sure which head they are using but if it is the 8 valve head, then how can a magic tune exceed what everyone else is getting......but at a much lower boost level? And a GT35R is not in its efficiency range at 1 bar. There are just too many issues that lead me to beleive, this is not accurate at the 1 bar boost level or it is actually 1.4, 1.5 bar of boost.

I am surprised a little by how far off a Cup Car those times were. I would have thought that with the power to weight and aero, that this thing should be as fast or faster than a Cup Car.
Hell, I know the car in this video has nowhere near the power or tech of the Orca and he's giving the Cup Car a real hurry up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vExPd7IlCbc It's in Holland. This from the owner/driver
the engine is a 2.5 with 400 engine hp at 1.3 bar
modified turbo and carillo and c@e pistons
efi motormanagment
4 inch exhaust and wide body
We are now making it more reliable by using a 968 block with bushes which is stronger and a dry sump.
We are also thinking about a 16 valve head but that,s for later
The gt3 was a cup car with 420hp
In the second race i was in front but had to stop because i lost some oil.

Does it say they lowered compression? If so, Then I apologize.
I Plan on showing you a 968 motor making at least 250whp.. after Christmas anyway. - no headwork or cams.
Efficiency range is of course dependant on the flow at 14lbs. (2bar on the map 1 bar being atmospheric) Looks like 400-500 hp is 80%-75% efficent.. right across the efficient nugget. of course, not the 550hp we are discussing. In reality though, we truly don't know the turbo that is on the car in question.
