Hell, I know the car in this video has nowhere near the power or tech of the Orca and he's giving the Cup Car a real hurry up.
Where did you find lap times?
Agree that it sounds way off that it would run slower than the cup cars!

And a GT35R is not in its efficiency range at 1 bar. There are just too many issues that lead me to beleive, this is not accurate at the 1 bar boost level or it is actually 1.4, 1.5 bar of boost.
Tim, I know you don't think its accurate but, it could make that power all day long. I have seen similar engines with higher compression making over 600rwhp with a GT40.

These 16v heads are amazing. With the right cams, compression, oil system, headwork and blockwork, they can do 600+ all day. You will start to run into other problems around 650. If you can fix the problems, you can run even more boost. I'll leave that up to the engine experts to discuss...

Post#25 in this thead Duke. Although looking at the video, that track was pretty crowded too so perhaps he couldn't get a clear lap?

Actually, the times were accurate, it is the current owner of the car driving it, NOT Dwain, the designer/builder/driver. As a matter of fact, the car has now been sitting in storage for over two years because the owner says it is to fast for him. I am currently handling the sale of the car for him....$60K

http://race-cars.com/carsold/porsche...40734381ss.htm

This was the posting that sold the car a few years ago, today's asking price is $60K. I have a collector in Ventura waiting to look at the car when it comes out of the shop from being freshened up.

Sorry, as you can see, to many to list, it's easier to list this link.

Sorry... but if those were actually the real lap times, they aren't representative of what that car should be able to do.

I run faster than those lap tims on NT-01 tires with a street legal LS6 400RWHP 951 (which weighs a lot more than that car).

Which means that either the driver is weak, the car had problems, traffic, or a combination thereof...

Best lap

Session 2 = 1:50:407
Session 3 = 1:49.322
Session 4 = 1:49.308

It was one one of the fastest cars in the TT group that day.

For compairson in race group that same day a 997 Cup Ran a 1:46 and a radical ran a 1:42 in TT

Like I said in the above post, the driver says the car is too fast for him, he never got used to the power, that is why the car has been sitting in storage for the past few years and is now for sale. I will contact the original owner/builder and see about getting some lap times from him.

I think from a marking standpoint of trying to sell the car that photos and description of the current state would help the sale, as it is being freshen up would be a perfect opportunity to document the finer ins and outs of the car. Then please share as this car would be appreciated here and may find an interested party from here.

I have a potential buyer lined up, I was just commenting and updating a pervious post. The car will be at Buttonwillow Raceway Memorial Day weekend for those seriously interested. Also, serious potential buyers can send me a PM.

You might want to consider updating to member status if you want to sell something on these forums.

Is it your car or someone elses car?
