Default Vaccum Lines.

I have the Lindsey vacuum kit. I have a question about installing it.

On the firewall, hard plastic tubes hook up to the stock vacuum lines. When I install the new lines do I attach them on the hard lines that come out of the fire wall or do I run them into the interior? Thanks in advance.

When I did mine, I did not run any through the firewall.

Same here. Really depends on how far you you wanna go with it i suppose. Personally, I felt that the amount of work it would take to fish it through the firewall and play around behind the dash was just too much of a PITA for the tradeoff.

You guys have no issues with vacuum leaks right? I didn't want to have to fish them through the firewall either.

No vac leaks in my car to the best of my knowledge. Once I start stripping the interior out of the red car I'll probably go ahead and finish the vac lines off once and for all through the firewall but that's only because it's a "while I'm in there" sorta thing.

Good to know. Motor goes in this weekend so this is all very relevant information.

If I'm not mistaken, the only vac lines that go into the cabin are for heater controls (aside from the larger clear plastic line going to the klr unit). As long as the check valve for the heater line (along the firewall, just to the driver side of center) is okay, the rest of the heater vac lines shouldn't affect engine vac at all.

(And, just because you put a "g" in front of my username, don't think it's okay to use it. )
