How do they ship these? Are they rolled up or something?
I need to replace mine, but shipping could be a problem, or?

Paid $9.00 for shipping (regular US mail), FEDEX was $10.00.

They come flat, in heavy plastic bags.

I put factory OEM back on my car after it was repainted. Even though I was extremely careful cleaning off the area and intalling it is already coming off/sagging. My car never sits in the hot sun and is kept very very clean all of the time. I'll replace with the Paragon stuff the next time and that's not only because it's much much cheaper.

Hopefully you factory guys will have better luck than me.

FWIW, my '91 S2 doesnt have insulation.

I tryed to get rid of all the insulation on the hood of my turbo...I finally gave up. Products will weaken the paint which will then come off. I plan to replace mine, but haven't decided if I want those bright silver ones or not.

I've had to reglue a bit with some 3M spray adhesive along the front edges, but nothing major. Did you get all the factory glue off when you replaced yours?

Here's a link to a thread with pics of how I did mine:

Looking good!

Be sure to cut a circle in the left panel, right above the brake fluid reservoir cap. This is to prevent the liner absorbing any brake fluid and doing a number on your hood paint.

FWIW my body shop guy says if you use a liner get one that covers the center brace. It's this thing getting hot that can cause the hood to get out of shape.

I believe the center brace has foam insulation inside it. Or at least I noticed this on my hood when removing the factory glue.
