Don't the 944 spec cars use plastic hatches?

Nope, I've already asked that Rod. Must be too hard to import. They might have side windows done, but not front or rear from what I know?

Yep it did me too. I think you would either need to put them into a container or have someone build a wooden box, just to be able to ship them down here. Then there's the matter of getting a frame. Ideally buying something ready made or 2nd hand out of the US or possibly Europe, but not easy. Let me know if you have any other ideas Rod. Think Sean would be interested too.

Sean,

how do you fix the aluminium strips to the hatch ? Need to do something similar to mine but cannot see a neat way to do it.

Don't think it would be impossible, they are light, they could easy come on a plane, just have to find the right shipper. Wouldn't be hard to get the frame locally.

I assume you're going to want one? We should get a few interested parties involved. The frame isn't that easy to get here either, unless you want to buy a complete one and smash the glass. Ouch!

the easiest way is just to use a revit at top and bottom. going through the frame itself. we then used double sided tape as an insulator between the strap and the lexan.

Sure there is an element of ricer about it, but check out the new GT3 Cup car. This is only a track setup too. We will have a 968 TRS type wing for day to day driving.

Thanks DDP. We've got another thread going on in here that is getting a little more technical. I should probably close this one.
