Just eliminate it all and get a $7 vented fuel cap off an early car.

I don't have any of the vacuum lines to the cannister and don't have any smell in the car. One less thing to worry about is a 20 year old cracked vacuum line that is no longer there.

Voodoo,

I remember your comment about ripping all that crap out of my car when we did my clutch.

You'll probably get more noxious fumes in the car from wind blowing exhaust back into your car than fuel vapors.

I have been in 2 or 3 cars with that delete. It only smelled like gas on one of them because he had a leak and was running rich. The others i didnt even notice.

I pulled all my fuel vapor system off back to the tank. The only time I smell fuel vapor is if I am under the rear of the car near where the hose terminates (I have a filter on it). Other than that, there is no odor even in an enclosed garage.

I did the same thing years ago. I took out EVERYTHING related to the evap system including the temperature vacuum switch attached to the head which I think is #7. It's all gone right back to the tank where I put a small filter on the line. I have no gas smell even in my tiny one stall garage. About a month ago I did have a coolant leak and could easily smell that.

Would someone be good enough to post a pic of the underside of the tank with the hose & filter?
