Just bought FUZION Zris!!
I just got a pair of FUZION 245/45-16 for the rear for $113 mounted, balanced and everything before taxes. I had the Hankook Ventus RS2s, but they were impossible to find locally and I didn't want to do the Tirerack route, so I got these and put a little faith into some of the feedback here from users who've had them for years. So far, they are smooth and quiet and I like the tread pattern and the sidewall is not that bad...gonna break them in!

I've had 3 sets of the Fuzions ZRi's on 3 different cars now and never had a single complaint. They are one of the best wet tires I've driven and the dry performance is really quite good. I can't remember a single person on these forums complaining about the ZRi considering their price and performance level. IMO it's very easy to spend twice that amount and get much less tire. Fuzion did made an H rated tire than wasn't that great.

If your goal isn't to have the best traction and handling for spirited driving on street tires, then the fuzions are great value.
But the two are in different leagues for sure.

For those of you who have tried the ZRi's, have you also used the Kumho SPT? I'm wondering how the two compare. While I've been quite impressed with the heaps of feedback the SPT provides (especially for the price), their grip level is not enough for my 320 rwhp car.
I've heard great things about the ZRi, especially when considering the price. Just wondering how the SPT stacks up in the "cheap-yet-effective-tire" category.

Kuhl was the one who really sold me on them, the pictures of his car with the Fuzions were enough to convince me of the look alone, the Kumho SPT is not available in 245/45-16, if it was, I would've gotten them instead hands down...

A local guy runs the SPT's and really likes them for DE and auto-X. They are much grippier than the Fuzions but then again they are marketed as a higher performance sticky tire. His are wearing pretty fast though, he has 8K on them and you can tell they are well past 50%. They are noisier than the Fuizion but that's to be expected just from tread design and softer tread. I think the Fuzions are better suited for people looking for a good balance between good performance and longer tire wear on a car that sees mostly street time. I've driven my Fuzions real hard and they haven't disappointed me yet.

I'm on my second set of ZRi's and absolutely love them. Awesome wet weather traction, and with all the rain we're getting around here lately, boy am I glad to have them on the car now.

I have Zri's on my FX. They seem to be fine. They wear really well. I can't really comment on handling as they are on a 3800 lb SAV. But the wear is pretty impressive.
As I understand it Fuzion is to Bridgestone as BFGoodrich is to Michelin. Although the BFG is a far more developed brand.
But the Fuzion was designed to compete as a brand with BFG, Kumho, and the like.
There used to be a user here Matt H who worked for Bridgestone/Firestone he probably knows a ton about this stuff.

I've had Kumhos for years and they never really last long, they are notorious for low treadlife, my wife have has the Solus KH16 on her car and they lasted half of the Federals she had on there before, and that is rotating them every 5K. My mother also has them on her Saab and just got the Kumho Ecsta ASX and they don't last on hers either, lets see if the ASX does better...

So far, they feel nice, but they're not broken in yet, I do miss my Hankooks though, had them almost 2 1/2 years, the rears would have lasted longer if I didn't peel out so much, but either way, lets see how these do...

Unfortunately, there aren't that many options in that size, if you look on Tirerack, there are only 12 and half of them are track tires, so aside from the Hankook R-S2 I already tried, for what few choices there are, I chose the Fuzion ZRi over the Toyo T1R, the Yoko AVS ES100, the Sumitomo HTR Z and the Continental ContiSportContact (which I know to be crapp). I stand by my decision, cheap tire or not, nothing but good feedback and reviews from users here who did buy their second pair...
