Default tire fitment/feb 22nd vir weekend

Hey guys ive looked at hundreds of threads on wheel fitment and i arrived at a set of carrera lightweight wheels measuring 18x8/10 et50 and et 65 respectfully. i found very little info on tire sizes however. the 996's seemed to have had 225s in front and 265s in rear but i didn't know what would fit on my 87 951. im willing to stay with 225s in front but was hoping for at least a set of 275s in the rear. and maybe some input on sidewall height would be nice. if anyone knows anything about these wheels i would be forever in their debt. ive also heard that the fronts will require a 7mm spacer? not sure of that either. thanks in advance!
oh and i was at vir for the first time the 21st and 22nd of february and it was amazing. as soon as i turned on to north paddock drive a whole slew of porsches roared by... ive never had so much fun. met some cool people (944 guys seemed to be the most laid back) but had to camp in the paddock though... wish i had one of those apartments with a garage trackside... maybe next month. but i digress. thanks again for any help/comments!

My wheels are 8.5/10 with the same offset and fit PERFECT on my 88 TS. I am running 245 and 285 respectively

I have the Porsche OEM Carrera Lightweights in those same sizes (8/10) and offsets. There is no need for a spacer on the front to clear the dust cap on my car. These are great wheels, very light! I am running 225/40/18 and 285/30/18 btw. Like others have said, you can get a 245/35/18 on the 8" wheel if you find a combo you like.

Yup. 285s fit all day, but are you sure they're 35 aspect ratio or 30? Usually 30. What's the OD of that tyre?
You from Sydney?

Shh, don't tell the rest, or they'll all want to come down here.
Good luck on the tyres.
