Default Have you ever been just giddy about your car?

My car is in storage. Awaiting to be waken up in the spring for me to go for it's spring cruise. It's almost March and i've been having some dreams about driving her lately. I might driver her in March or April -- not sure yet. I'm about as excited as I was when i was 6 years old and just about to go to the amusement park that was planned for weeks. I realize I'm about to spend close to $2700 in maintenance but this just not bother me, because i know for a fact this summer i can drive her without being ignorant or cheap about doing repairs that have been put off. Once that work is done, I can freely drive her. I can't wait, the piggybank is full -- and i'm about to crack it open to do what the princess has ordered. I havent drove my car since November other than two short 1 mile teaser runs around the block to make sure i had no leaks after my turbo swap. Will be re registering and insuring the car on thursday afternoon. Just in time for 50 degree highs.... lets hope it stays that way (unlikely).

I sit in my garage a lot. I stare at the car and play with parts about 1 hour for every 15 mins I work.

I can't wait to finish all the upgrades and get her on the track to test out all the new toys. I figure i'm going to install everything to feel the difference. Then pull a few things so that i can see if i can notice what they've added to the car.

I get giddy about driving it often. Like today, I spent 14 hours at school and the drive home was great. 70 degrees at night with the roof off......ahhhh that clears the head.

Feb is about the time that track withdrawal sets in for me. I try to drive it every few weeks to warm it up but it just doesn't give the same thrill as bombing through corners..

First event is in April and I can't wait....

I took mine around the block a couple of weeks ago, just to test my new intercooler couplings.... and then it snowed. I am sooo looking forward to April...

Like Ryan (but not like him), I will regularly go to the garage and just sit in the car and fine tune the new stereo and speakers, while I plan the next round of upgrades.

You guys need to move to sunnier places... My daily dilema is not about whether I get giddy or not, its which car to get giddy with, the 944S2 or the 968 cab, both are DD's, just one a a time

ive been using mine these last 2 days to get to work. it's been nice and sunny and a touch warmer. heat wave bringing 40's to columbus all week. otherwise it was parked for a few months all covered to distract me from wanting to use it.
