I don't know if he will do what you are looking for, but try Chris White who is in upstate NY. He is also a regular on here. Go and visit www.944enhancement.com.

Oh yea i know him ofcourse. We talked and he doesn't and boring isn't his specialty. He is a pro in Darton MID Sleeves and building built proof engines. If i get the money i will go to him and do the MID Sleeves, he is one person i trust with my engine. I barely have anyone touch my car.....

I assume you intend to have the block re-alumasiled?

You might find that sleeving it is cheaper in the long run... that's why people do it.

?????? re-alumasiled ????

I'm not sure sleeving is necessarily cheaper. Low compression 104.5 Mahle Piston availability is why many do it and they wind up being cost neutral. My 104.5 mm's Mahle's new + opening up the cylinders ran me $1800.

Someone is selling those pistons for $1300, Now I would want to find about boring it to 104.5.. I'm calling scott today and another shop to find out what they can do for me. I have rebuilt many small blocks before but this is the first time i'll be doing porsche internals, even though i've took everything else apart and back together at least 4 times lol.

Be careful in there. Its not as simple as it looks... Remember that the 'easy' stuff bites too, and hard...

I would ask Dave Lindsey's recommendation whether you ship the block to him or not. He will be forth wit about it.

I just talked to Scott from area951.com and I think he will be boring the 3.0. The block is coming in next week from arizona. Now I'll be looking for a 2.7 head at a good price.

And I know this isn't the same thing as a chevy small block, but you gotta learn and do it yourself sometime, right?

Adrian, is your car at TKX? those walls look familiar. I live about 10 minutes away. Taso is a great guy.

Hey Jon, long time no talk.
The car was at Taso's place when I had bought it and I used that picture. It has no motor right now, waiting on the 3.0 coming in. Hows everything with your car?

My car is basically ready to go, just going to fix a few naggling little issues like a broken plastic rod for the drivers door lock solenoid. Just fixed the radio antenna finally today after a year without AM/FM. Just waiting on the weather, hope to have it back on the road the first week of March, that is if the threat of snow seems to be gone.

Looking forward to seeing your 3.0L build. I have a 3L block aswell, but nowhere near the money to start building it the way i want. Maybe in a year or two. If yah ever need another hand just let me know, ive got alot of free time up through May.
