I use Eagle One Chrome & Wire Wheel Cleaner to clean up the pitting on the rim halves of my CCW's from the brake dust. They say to not use it with aluminum, so I scrub and rinse it off quickly. It is potent, so be careful. You will be amazed at the time is saves.
