I will unveil her first in her watered down form when she is completely drive able. She will still be all white WITHOUT rear spoiler, front canards, side skirt, and low pressure radiator hood vent. It also will not have the Mercedes McClaren paint scheme yet.
So.. cool finished white car will be unveiled in about 2 months. Super fancy dressed up complete racer in about 4 months. This is the plan for now until something goes wrong as it always does and pushes the schedule back.

I'm dying to take pics of more, but they are just spoilers. You can judge what it will look like with all the other pics. But it is just so nice to see it all in one color of paint. I'm trying hard to make it a cool project. I'm definitely not making it a 10/10 show car or anything, but I'm just trying to prioritize. Performance is first and foremost. That is the main reason for all the crazy custom stuff. Otherwise I certainly wouldn't have taken the time to do half this stuff. Certainly not just for looks or bling. Im an 80/20 bling kinda guy. 80% no.. 20%..yeah sure why not.

Sure I can. I will do it later today. BUT.. what tires are you going to use. I have Hoosier R6's on there. The width is very different from most tires. It gives a lot more rubber per width of rim. So if this isn't the same tire you're using, and using a street tire, consider the stretch to me much more.

Those are 285's. - 11.5" rim. I will be running 295's in official race trim. They are a bit stretched and I really like the look and performance of a slightly stretched tire. No extra rubbing in close tolerance places when you load a tire different ways either.

I'm thinking even a 285 Hoosier or slick (which are wider than road tyres) on an 11.5" is way too small, but I get the logic of not having any bulge which induces carcass roll.

Bruce, just re-visiting the d/s tank. Have you actually built it into it’s own containment cabinet type thing? Any more pics from inside the cabin?

1. finish oil tank compartment
2. Finish dash mounting points and windshield support beam mounting tabs
3. Run oil tank hard line through frame rail for feed to pump.
4. Exhaust header cut away in floor board.
5. finish all welding points and bolt holes.
Then she can go to sanding and smoothing for paint. This is where I remove Everything off the tub one last time before final assembly and plumbing for all fluid lines (oil, gas, brake) and electrical. I think when the brake system is complete and dash and seats are in, I might take some pics and post them then. It will be pretty much enough to get a good picture of what the test and tune version of her will be.
I'm still trying to finish my torque tube. The main drive shaft will be at Moser Engineering tomorrow for re-splining. What I still need are the bushings for the torque tube bearings. I might have to pay the $20 ea Jager is asking for them unless I can buy them from Porsche? I haven't really called Porsche to find out yet.

Update. The main driveshaft was successfully splined by Moser Engineering and on its way back to houston. I bought The Torque Tube bearing bushings from Jager. $100! more expensive than the replacement bearings! But whatever. I want this damn thing done. They are made of Delrin.
I have all body parts in white. here are some teasers in the booth. They won't be ready to put on the car for another day and a half though. They have to dry first. No pics of them on the car until the tub is painted and the seats and dash are in, and the brakes are done. I am praying that will be by the end of 2 weeks.
