Just looking at those pics of the Red car with 10" all round made me wonder why I had to get some mods done to fit the fronts. My car was very low. We then had the bodywork done which cut open the aperture as well as pulling the fender out a little. Nothing major, but had we checked the suspension settings out before doing all this may have saved me some time and money. We wound up raising my car up a little as it was compressing the bump stops too much on the track. This may have allowed us to run the 10x285 front like the Red car shown had we raised it first.

Yes, please. What are the offsets of the 18x10 CCW's. Thanks!

Anyone chime in? Use would be on a race car with lots of neg camber, but stock bodywork and coilovers.

Trying to see how I can run 285's all the way around, or at least get close. But heard about a few people running 285/30/18's all the way around...

Anyone running 285's square?
I'm running 18X9.5, if that helps. I think you will find it pretty difficult to cram 285's up front. I'm running 255 front and it A LOT!

A 285 up front requires camber plates. My CCW's are 18x10 @ 65, they can be purchased at about any offset you want.

Really good info. I did a page 1 to page 5 skip but has anyone talked about changing to early offset wishbones to gain more front width? I think it only allows you to use 1/2 inch wider because of the clearance for the suspension but I've owned a car with M030 brakes on early offset and it is possible. Might be an 'easy' option for some.

and probably 2.25ID front springs. What are you running up front for springs?
I'm on stock diameter, and at full lock, or just before, they make contact. I also have rolled front fenders.

i don't think it worth changing to early offset but i do regret changing to late offset from early ..and my friend did the same foolish thing . and early offset car an run high or low offset wheels using spacers with the high offsets where as a late car can only use high offsets 50+

The time has come to order track wheels for my '88 turbo. Forgeline can custom make any spec I want. Here is what I am thinking.

Front: 18x10 +65 285/30-18 with -2.5 camber
Rear: 18x11 +65 295/30-18 with -2 camber

Can anyone confrim this set up will work?

Do you have aftermarket coil overs and camber plates?

What tires are you going to run?

KW coil overs with 60mm springs. Looking to buy Ground Control raise camber plates. Hoosier R6 or Toyo R888 tires.

You'll want at least -2.5 degrees negative camber on both the front and rear.

That said, you should be able to get a 285 under the front. Plus you can "cheat" it by using the eccentric bolts to push the wheel away from the strut, then using your camber plates to dial back the negative camber.

But you'll have to have the correct wheel offset (obviously).

Anyway, I have 1" wider front fenders, and I run a 11" with a 315mm front tire on my car using -2.5 degrees negative camber (which produces nice even tire wear).

Sh*t! It must take a very serious car to keep up with you on the track! Would love to see photos of your car.

Thanks for the info.
