New billet 62mm turbos
We are now offering a T62 turbo will billet compressor wheel. We have done some testing with these turbos and they out-spool(which is to be expected) and outflow a normal 67mm(AKA super 75). They are available in dual ball-bearign and will give the GTK-k and GT series turbos a run for their money. These are now available for the 944 turbo and use a standard KKK hotside.Just thought I would let you guys know about some new technology.

Click here to see the dyno chart of this turbo on a 2.8L over-bore @ 18 psi
These turbos have produced over 420 horsepower at the wheels (504 at flywheel) and as much as 515 ft/lbs (618 at flywheel) of torque at 18 psi on 2.8L motors! See the chart on our Dyno page. These turbos feature a 3.00" inlet. This turbo is the biggest turbo that can fit under the stock intake manifold. In order to extract the maximum horsepower out of this turbo, there are many issues that need to be addressed. Most of your existing parts must be upgraded. You need to have big injectors, mass-flow or engine management, dual-port wastegate, etc..... Along with this you also need our true 3" exhaust system including our 3" downpipe that exits off the back of the turbo. Please call to find out what it takes to bolt-on this monster turbo. Typically full boost is realized at 3500-4000 rpms. This is the equivivlant of the competitions Super 75 at a lower price!"

This is not the same turbo. The billet 62 is a way different animal. It will spool about 3200 rpms with ball-bearing with a stage 3 turbine wheel and 8cm housing.

Spool what psi at 3200rpms? On the 2.8? Fuel octane? Management?
Very important notes to make when making claims. I've seen too many arguments with completely different variables they never discussed.
That said, If the Dual ball bearing center housing bolts striaght up to the stock turbo mount. Holy cow, that is the best bolt in turbo upgrade for this car.

That adapter helps. but it takes a little extra effort to make it fit.
Little meaning grinding down sides of the mount and using another adapter plate in between the two.
The hole in the stock mount is too large for the adapter to cover.
But for most, to get a DBB turbo with a compressor that fits under the intake and with a hotside that bolts up is plenty good for 1499 bucks.
because thats a DBB turbo that saves total budget dollars by skipping alot of fabrication work.

We havent tested this particular turbo on the 944 yet.It just came out.We have only tested it on some other applications. The turbo is similiar to some of the other tubos we(and others) have been selling for years except for the high efficiency compressor wheel.Based on a 61 mm bb turbo,spool-up(18 psi,91 octane, exhaust,DP wastegate,MAF,the typical bolt-ons)) with the stage 3 or T31 turbine wheel and an 8 CM housing should be about 3200 rpms on a 2.5L.We will be offering these turbos with a kkk hotside,T3 hotside as well as t4 hotside. The other hotsides will have a bearing on spool-up based off which turbne wheel and housing that is used.
These turbos will be priced at $1399(standard bearing) since we have to do a few things to get them to utilize the kkk housing and bolt onto the 944t. Eventually, we should get the price down to the $1000 range for standard bearing. A T3 or T4 version of this can be had for under $1000 now.

These turbos have a pretty broad efficiency range. From 18-40 psi they are pretty efficient. So yes, they are sort of like the GT series turbos. You wouldnt want to use this turbo if you are only going to run 1 bar.
