Yes it does. That was a simpler way to do it, lol.

Best bet is to pressure test the system. Basically you build something that can be put into the intake system, sealed and you can put a bit of metered pressure into. Met me see if I can find a good link for you. Pictures speak a thousand words.

I got this testing unit but I'm not sure how to use it.

Do I take off the filter and hook it up to the J-boot? I guess I don't understand the flow of the turbo enough

if you have an air intake leak, it will suck in the "combustible spray" and the RPM will change. It's the "old time" way to check for vacuum leaks (back when everyone had a can of ether around).

How do I obtain this "unlimited boost" you speak of?

Didn't know WD was applicable there. Ya learn something new every day!

Easy, take off your wastegate, weld the xover shut, and viola!

Hook it up after Turbo but before Intercooler ..

I use a engine leakdown tester coupled to a air comressor to reduce test pressure and to read % of leakage ..

Hey guys, just an update.

I did two things and now the car seems fine.

First I fixed a couple vac leaks, one back behind the manifold - and one on the blow off valve! The blow off valve has a flange that had come unscrewed.

Second I used the secondary idle adjuster to turn the idle way down.

Now the car is running great, its idling at like 900 rpm or so and the wastegate/boost controller are working flawlessly.

I think theres a good chance I still have some vac leaks, so next time I've got the manifold off I'm going to just replace the hose.

Thanks for all the help!

Where is the secondary idle adjuster?

Its on the throttle body, little screw by the throttle itself.
