If it's a 2.5 liter 4v, I'm allowed to get down to 2400lbs Car and driver.
If its a 3.0 liter 4v, I've got to jump the cars weight up to 2950. Too damn heavy.

I'm curious though, anyone know where this car is now?
what about 2 L and run GT3

I think that car would rule the class big time. Custom crank is all I would need.
Another $3K to that budget.

But yeah. If I wanted a dominating car in GT3, that would be it.

How lite would you be allowed to have it at GT3? and how lite could you get one of these things? Could you get it down low enough to take advantage?

sorry Sid I have a twin cross over pipe they merge in the last bend into the flange . but yours will see hot gas before mine .
I'm hoping to go with out a waste gate as well it makes the entire thing easier hopefully the VGT will control the boost .
and as e85 is more forgiving I might be able to control boost by cutting 1 or 2 injectors kind of an anti anti-lag

With a 2479cc 16v Turbo you can go 2429lbs in GT2, or with a 2000cc 16v Turbo you can go 2535 in GT3.

8v, 2112 and 2204, respectively.

That's interesting. I would have thought you'd keep going down in allowable weight if you reduced your capacity, but I guess you're in different classes competing against cars with similar power to weight ratio. (excepting the n/a vs f/i classwar lol)
Secondly, are those figures for the 8v cc or lb Mike? lb I think.
So what class would you run in if you had 16v 3L and over? Is there a class for this and what weight can you run with these? What sort of cars are you running against in some of these classes?

The second set of 8v numbers are 2112lbs for GT2, and 2204lbs for GT3 (min weight).

3L 16v cars get put in a really poor situation for PCA club racing, minimum weight for GT1 is 1725lbs, and min weight for GT2 is 2939lbs, we wont even talk about how heavy you have to run to be in GT3, might as well be a 928 with a 4 cylinder at that point!

You'd be running against, unrestricted RSR's, big turbo 935's and 993's with half tube frames, stuff like that.

and maybe the occasional big liter or boosted 928:

Bruce, I'm sorry for the hijack!

Not at all, that was completely relevant.

Great 928 joke!
yeah, 3l 16v would have to be 3815lbs!!! - GT3. Might as well be a bus. So turning it into a 2liter makes it managable @ 2550. Land jets car is 2150. I don't think I have the money/budget to beat t
at weight, so I'm using that as my "floor" no lighter. I doubt GT3 cars will go much further than this. If they do, probably up a class.

Good luck and post some info on the wing...I'm a huge fan of purposeful, ungodly huge wing setups.
I am continuing, just a little less exciting.

Large wing you say..
