Reccomendations and PICS for Track car dash/ and necessary Gauges
I promise to start posting pictures, but I am so CPU illeterate.
I removed the dash and HVAC tonite, So I would like to start planning my dash.
I plan to have a sheetmetal shop near my office, make an aluminum dash. So since I will have some cost in it, I would like to get it right or close.
I am running stock ecu rather then standalone, So would it be best to stay w/ stock cluster, or put in VDO style gauges. If it is complicated an alot of wiring, I will stick w/ stock cluster. I fiqure alot of the signals go through the DME and removal may disrupt the sytem.
Thanks
Steve

IQ3 is the best bang for the buck - Full GPS data logging included. Works with one line to many different Popular management ECU's. Fast install - (Can also use an expensive can bus system) Complicated software is the only bad mark. But. hey, that's cheap. I Installed this into an NSX a few months ago. This is what I will be installing in the 951 over the winter.

Got a link to that Bruce?
If you're sticking to the ecu is that because of class rules? If so, then those f/g ones look pretty good bang for buck. The Alu dash posted looks very slick though. The only thing that I'd think about is if you will, or are able to change to standalone in the future, therefore maybe having to make some changes to your gauges like the Aims etc. ie maybe go with the cheap f/g one for now?

The stock dash, minus air bags if applicable, is not that heavy. You can cut the passenger half off if you like and then fiberglass the end yourself. The A/C vents, with black plastic from any car audio shop, makes a good spot for extra gauges. It gets to be about $$ toward the end of any track car project. The aluminum one at the top, is OZ951 dash. Wayne always does outstanding work. After Jim and I debated about the dash, this is how we ended up.
