Default Doing better at the Autocross -VIDEO

Did a little better this time. The things I changed were the torsion Tubes and the the Torsion tube bushings. Went to 30mm hollow. Fantastic difference. AND while I was in there, I was able to give the car the proper alignment it deserved. I can't beleive I paid someone $100 for what I saw. SHAMEFULL. That's what I get for being lazy. - I honestly thought lasers could do better, but it's the monkey behind it I had to worry about.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

I was the 3rd fastest CAR of the day. The other 3 faster times were motorcycle style carts. (so truly 6th fastest)

I have video, but.....I know, I suck. My new camera didn't come with the proper USB cord. It's a wierd one too. AND since It's new, I didn't realize it was on a 5 minute powersave mode that kept shutting the damn thing off in the middle of the Runs!!!!! But, what I do have is pretty cool.

this is only the 2nd Autocross with a new rear setup. Being the FASTEST car of the day is only a few events away. - 245 Khumo Victo's all the way around. 295/315 on the way. Sticky, sticky.

here's a link to the Classes. http://www.houscca.com/solo/results07/08REG10R.TXT

The double entry times are lower because of the PAX handicaps. PAX is retarded.

Speaking of retarded. I won my class because I was the only one in it. I think I would have won it anyway.

Here's some telemetry from Gtech pro RR. It's awesome. I can see I wasn't hitting the 2nd slalom as hard as the first. And that my braking is confirmed worse with the stiffer suspension. I need more rear bias. I was getting 1G braking. Now only .7-.8 Also. Lots of imformation here. The two graphs show how I was slower on one of the runs. (RED)

Bruce, I love that you post these things. It makes me think of what I "should " be doing with my car instead of what I do to it. Looking forward to the vids even if they are short.

5 minute videos are still legit!

Go buy a card reader that can accept your memory card. Doesnt waste the battery and stuff.

Get a remote Bruce, then you only have to reach back and turn the power on just before your run.
Bring on whatever videos you have. I'm still kicking myself for not filming the other day at the track passing a 996tt down the main straight. Better to have some film than none. D'oh!

100+ degree temps and 125 - 130 degree track temps in the summer. 425+whp. (Boost controller goes higher. Tuned for higher) I will not have any trouble warming those puppies up.

eck only 4 runs!!! come to our region, you'll get 8-10 minimum!

(and no stupid PAX)

Glad to see you are autoXing tho. A well setup/modded 951 can come very close to a stock GT3.

That is a lot of laps for autocrossing. Do they have 150+ cars? This last one had to be Capped at 125 entries.
I seriously think some modded GT3's aren't going to be happy. (Of course their drivers have more money than talent.)

Haha no my pca events are 25-35 cars and we are slackers. Some of the other local clubs get 60-90 cars and they still get 8-12 runs in a day.

but actually 4-5 runs with 125 cars is still quite impressive. Where you running dual courses or major car overlap on a single course?

295/315 hoosiers is going to be simply epic.

Single course, 3 deep.
There are BMW and PCA events that do give you alot more bang for your buck here.

just out of curiosity, what kind of tire temps are you seeing after a run?

in my region we usually do 8-12 runs... about 40 cars.... 65sec average time... and 5 hours from registration to clean up. no pax either! www.ebrpca.org but i think we're done for the year.
