Default Installing new radiator -finished - pics

I bought a generic core close to stock dimensions for fitment. It has a little larger frontal area. A thicker dual core. Which our stock one also has. (dual core shown in cut-a-way pic) and Aluminum end tanks.

I have to cut and weld in a few places, but this should be quite simple and installed by Friday.

I like that attitude.

Looks like it'll work out well. I assume you're going to chop that top fill off and weld it up, then weld in a bung to screw the temp switch in?

Fill top is chopped already. I will NOT be installing a temp switch. Motec controls that now. Loving it as time goes by. And I will be welding in a 10an fitting for the expansion tank. then I'll install it.

Ah yes. I overlooked the Motec. Must have been my jealously getting the better of me.

Default Finished

Finished modifiying and pressure testing.
I had to cut off the radiator cap and seal.
I had to put in a port for the expansion tank. -10an bung for cool guy status
I had to cut off the lower right radiator hose tube. It was too big and for some reason pointed in. I installed a smaller diameter, bead rolled tube. This left a large 1.4" gap. I just filled it in. Holds all the pressure I could throw at it. But, just my excuse for the ugly welds there.

Will complete the install in the car tomorrow.

MoTeC. I'm using about 25% of its options. The list is a bit large. It is more than I will grow into. Oh yeah, indestructible electronics is the main reason I went with it. Oh yeah, great deal I got on itoo..

One of the First versions with E-85. I had been begging him to just have a 30% more fuel map. He said he was already working on it, but didn't want to tell anyone. I didn't. But now he's announced it, so it's ok.

I had heard that Motec was having some issues with E85. So it was just an excessive fuel delivery problem with the map?
Nice job on the radiator too.
