Did ok at autocross (Added pics)
My first "true" runs were all problematic. SHakedown runs is an understatement.
1str run. intercooler pipe blew off.
2nd run. No traction with only 15lbs of boost. Slight transmission problems 2nd gear gave some trouble. - (Small bolt on Short shift kit uncrewed - figured it out and fixed it after 4th run)
3rd run. Manged to get it in 2nd at start of run and ran it completely with no gear change.
4th run. My fault. Didnt tighten up Strut enough and it started wobling! Drivers side.
X-Class. (PAX adjusted. So dumb.) I got 5th.
My terrible results in my class here.

So. Luckily I double entered. Got those problems fixed at mid day break.
This is what I got whithout Horrible problems during the run.
Well - same link as right above, but way lower on Double entry class
Not bad.
#1 guy is Aaron. The One who owns the hobby shop I build my car at. (I don't work there, but feels like it sometimes) He's got 315/275 hoosier A6. I had 245 Khumo Victoracers, all 4. Pretty sticky.
I'm #3 out of ALOT. and my best time is 11th overall - (NOT taking in the PAX score. - I hate PAX, it's terribly adjusted)
Overall. I'm glad I did well. I'm used to winning. But that was 9 years ago.
I have ALOT to learn about this cars handling traits.
EDIT:
Here are some pics
One of my car on the Scale. Measures to the pound. Car just Happened to be exactly at 2300 with the amount of fuel that was in it.
Next is the JIC Coilover set up test fit up in there. And the last one is the only pic i got taken at the event. (Trail braking)

HAHA glad to hear you and your car came out in one piece! I had quite a few autocross SNAFUs myself last year, including a boost controller meltdown that resulted in 22psi in POURING rain. Stick with it, experience is paramount. I think 951s have serious potential on some courses (especially a super light one like yours) despite the so-so reputation.

There are several strategies in AXing. Many start slow and hope to build speed as they learn the course with their final run being the fastest.
I'm just the opposite. I start out fast and my first run is typically a DNF. Second run I have a better idea of which corners I need to slow down on (or change the line) and which corners I can take faster.

The cars that showed up were ridiculous. 3 lotus', 2 Z06's, 2 GT3's. Lots of other cool stuff. It was almost a car show there on Sunday. I have something like 2 pics I will post tonight of me. I haven't sen them yet. The "Photographer" says she sorry because she wasn't paying attention. Eh. She went. I'm happy about that.

It was definately Fun. So damn glad to be out with my car somewhere finally.
I think I had worked out all the major motor tuning and leak issues on the dyno and at the drag strip. But I knew a few would pop up. Yeah, minor on an AX course. Glad I started there.

What tranny are you running with and what gears are you getting into on that track?

Even with the problems you mentioned, it seems from your tone you had a brilliant time. Definitely sounds like alot of fun. It's a shame there is nothing like that, here locally. I'll be looking forward for the pics!
Cheers

stock 5spd LSD.
I was only in first 3xs and second everywhere else. top of second only once. I had to turn my low boost setting all the way down from 18psi to spring pressure @14.5. Still too much. But I'm aiming for roadrace, so not much concern.

congrats glad you finally get to enjoy it
I am currently getting used to my setup and will try to get some kind of real ET then maybe checkout this roadrace thing you are talking about .

The lightness of your vehicle will help but most of the rest won't, but you can still have some fun. I really think more people should try the conversion to the S2 cw&p for many motorsport events.
Is roadracing a proper door handle to door handle type event or more a timed event on a track?
