I've always felt this was the case, especially when compared to my M3, and totally separate from the distance from lock to lock.

anyone know if i can put the guts from a manual rack into a power rack?

reason im asking is i mistakenly wound up with a 924 manual rack that was listed as a 944 unit.

before i start grinding down the 924 part i might as well see if theres any hope

I have not focused on this lately, but most likely one of my racks will go to this company after holiday season for more close inspection. They want to be sure they can also make parts for 951 ZF made rack. So far they have done it mostly with BMW, Opel & VW racks, which are also ZF made.

the finnish alternative will cost about the same, including the total rebuild.
I also hope the swedes will change to the real money. It's just frustrating when you can do almost every EU country with Euros and when you go just across the border you must use SEK.
