Tranny stuck
Man, if ever there was anyone that could come up with a unique problem - it's me!
I am trying to get this car apart for a clutch job and spent 2 hours under the car trying to get the tranny out. The linkage is loose, the drive axles are off, the coupler is slid onto the input shaft of the tranny, all 4 bolts have been removed, and the crossmember bolts are removed. The tranny won't budge. I have a scissors trans jack and I jacked it up to try to break it loose, then jacked it back down. Still solidly clamped to the TT housing. I spent another half hour under it today and I'm stumped. I know it's gotta be something simple that I overlooked, but I just can't see it. Anyone else ever encountered this? I wanted this stupid thing apart this weekend and it's mid-Sunday and I don't even have the tranny out yet!

Michelle, here's a couple pics of the back of the tt bellousing, just for reference (note the driveshaft is pushed back a ways on this one).
Maybe try to put the jack where the bellhousings meet and apply a little pressure - just to try to 'break the seal' if that's what's going on? I wouldn't apply enough to break/bend anything though - be careful. Good Luck!!!
