I just finished installing the Lindsey Racing 340HP package on my '86 951.
I have a Mafterburner fuel controller, and a UEGO2000 Wideband installed on it to help with my initial tune.
I cannot get the car to idle, or keep it running below about 2000RPM. Above that the car seems to run very well. With the wideband and mafterburner, I can get a good A/F ratio above 2000RPM. Below 2000RPM, the engine is burner too rich, and I can't adjust it enough with the Mafterburner. IE, I lean out the fuel with the Mafterburner to the max, and the engine is still burning too rich according to the wideband reading.
The car is obviously not getting enough air below 2000RPM. I'm having great difficulty solving this problem. I've adjusted the screw above the throttle body to allow more air, no luck. I've played with the throttle body idle screw as well, no luck. Any ideas? Anybody have this problem?
There are no other mods on this car except the lindsey package.
Sorry for the long posting. Any help would be appreciated. TY!

first off short the Mafterburner and see if any changes take place, if yes(better or worse) your at least communicating and probably wired right. If nothing changes, check your wiring.
check ALL your hoses, intercooler and TB, verify the AOS hose is hooked correctly and so is the IAS - people have crossed these hoses before.
IF you got an AFPR, turn the fuel pressure down and double check your vac lines.

Thx for the quick reply.
Mafterburner is definitely working properly.
I don't have AFPR, only the FPR that came with the package.
Before I did the Lindsey install, I rebuilt the engine. All the hoses your listing I'm 99% positive are correct as well. Air/Oil Separator and Idle Air Stabilizer hoses are not crossed cause first thing I looked at was the idle control.
Thx again.

OK. Here's latest. I started testing the IAS more thoroughly. I went to verify 12V to the center of the 3 wires when I found the three wires to the IAS worn badly under the connector and at least two were contacting each other. I spent some good time taking connector apart and soldering good wire connections and ensuring no wires were contacting each other. Thought for sure I solved it, but tested it and same problem. There is 12V going to the IAS.
Went further and pulled IAS out from under intake and reconnected it to the car. I had the engine idling (very badly) and disconnected IAS and engine behaved as if IAS was never even connected. (Same response as when I jumper B and C connectors of the diagnostic port) I reconnected the electric connector, and disconnected the inlet air side of IAS...the valve inside the IAS doesn't move at all on its own. No response at all from it.
I opened the valve all the way manually with a screw driver. Car died. Closed valve all the way...car died. Valve in partial open position keeps car running badly.
Any input would be appreciated. Thx
