Need help fitting 993 steering wheel on non-airbag turbo *pics*
Hey,
I read this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...kspring&page=2 and have determined I am missing the 993/996 clockspring. I just wanted to know if anyone has done this to a non-airbag car and if any additional parts would be needed such as a 951 clockspring or airbag turn signal/wiper assembly. It seems I can get the horn and signal reset to work if I cut out my momo hub, but I would rather do it in a clean fashion. Here are the pics, I know the car is dirty. Thanks in advance.

I would replace the combination switch with a later model that is set-up for airbags. Then use the 993 clock spring so you can have full operation of the turn signal returns. Last, have a machine shop mill out the wheel so you can get the nut on.

thanks for the compliment. Sounds like a plan aribop. As things are, I can get the nut on, but that may change once I get the clock spring. Thanks for the info.

Three Wheelin'
I have the 951 airbag wiper stalk set up you need. I pulled it off of my car and went with a non airbag one when installing my 930S steering wheel. I went the opposite way you did. I would sell it for $40 shipped.

Yes, the 993 clockspring is what you need. I don't think you'll have to change out the combo-switch (turn signal/wiper swithch). I have a 993 clockspring that had a break in the airbag wiring but works fine otherwise, perfect for your application. They're $135 new from Sunset, so how about $50? Drop me a PM if interested. I have a couple of combo-switches too if you end up needing that.
Like Aribop said, it looks like you need to machine the hub on the wheel side like I did on the 3-spoke wheel in order to give you enough threads to put the nut on.
