Strange smell after blow off valve release

keep in mind the oil could be coming from the crank vent and not the turbo. might want to verify the actual source of the oil before deciding on a rebuild/upgrade.

If all you have is a little oil in the manifold thats nothing to worry about, Are you sure the smell is coming from your bov and not actually the smell of rich exhaust from venting to the atmoshere?

That's the first thing I thought of when seeing the title to this thread. "He's probably venting his BOV to the atmosphere while using a AFM or MAF".

I could be wrong, but are you thinking wastegate?

I'll pull plugs tomorrow.. if its oily - I'm injesting oil. If they are clean - I'm not going to worry about it.
