I'm guessing it depends on the size of the intake pipe you're connecting to... eg, JC60/78 for a 3" intake:

I'm curious if any of you have had problems with an "oil" filter and the MAF, I was thinking I would like to use an oil free one, like this AEM. Anybody think this is a good idea?

The ITG is foam, the JC 60/73 or 78 is what you want. It will flow better than any cotton filter you can fit in the same space. I have a JC60/ 86 on my car now.
ONe thing to keep in mind is all JC60/xx filter have one of two size filter element, the HP ratings they post are based on the outlet size for the most part and are based on N/A cars.

How well does that filter fit? Can you post a picture please?

Yes I can post it, it will just be a little while because I am not around my car now. The nice thing about the foam filters othar than they flow more is that can be sqished into place need be. Also because I run a 3.5" intake mine is a little bigger, than the jc60/73 mst people would run.

Thanks, I also have a 3.5" intake so I'm quite interested.
I have heard of people having problems with K&N if they come off the track and stir up some dirt in dry conditions... it has been sucked through the filter and they've had to do engine rebuilds - Anyone else heard of this?
Any ideas or views on how the ITG filters would fare in similar conditions?
Many thanks!

Many tests have been done on various foam filters.
Results in general: foam flows great and filters poor.
For a racecar this may be acceptable.
For street/multi-use bad idea.
