Default Child/Booster Seat in 944 Turbo

Will a child/booster seat fit in a 944 turbo? I searched but couldn't find anything. Any first hand knowledge and advice would be appreciated? Thanks.

How old is your child? I have a forward facing one for my two year old, fits on the passenger side nice and tight, no issues...

Trying searching - this has been covered a bunch of times. Also, while it is expensive, Porsche makes several car seats (for various sized kids) that fit in the back - although the passenger seat has to be pulled up pretty far forward.

Well we are in the process of fostering to adoption and the children will be 2 and 3 years old. Would there be room in the rear for another? We have another car it's just if I buy a 944 turbo I have been eyeing I want to make sure I can take them somewhere if need be.

if you can deal with pulling the drivers seat all the way forward, the porsche seat should work - but I found that I couldn't do this. I stopped using my '89 944 Turbo as an every day car when we had our second child - making my wife pull her seat all the way up was fine - but once I had to do it...

I have a Britax Marathon that I have test fit to my 951. It will work, but is tight. My wife however does not really like the idea so I have never put it into practice.

It is not the ideal seat for the 951 as it is quite large. No attempts a boost yet as my daughter is still too small.

I've never used the back seat, but the front is fine with the seat pushed all the way back, I would think they would get clausterphobic in the back since it's so tight back there...

I have dual airbags so no chance of front seat use for any child seats for me.

Get the 951 and a 1000$ honda as a baby hauler. Saves the headache of squeezing two car seats in the porsche and then if the kids are somehow distracting you, you dont run the risk of wrecking the 951.

Default any current (2009) solution for 944 rear seat child booster?

I know it has been addressed before, but every solution that i have seen proposed from before 2008 is no longer for sale. I don't have a problem searching ebay, but if what I am looking for is a nine year old seat of unknown provenance I don't think it accomplishes the safety objective. Every manufacturer changes there entire product line every 2 years or so. They may keep the name so specificity is very important. One of the trends I have seen is the bases of these things becoming wider and more irregular over time, perhaps reacting to the size of vehicles and the near ubiquity of anchor points. A 20 year old car with a small and irregular rear seat presents an odd challenge.

The whole issue with my 944 Turbo is the extremely sculpted rear seat. No seat I have tried will sit in a stable fashion. If the booster seat slips and slides around in a extreme deceleration, that strikes me as more dangerous than no booster, as the belt position could do serious harm. The whole objective of the current hysteria requiring child boosters for children bigger than many adults is extreme but founded on the reasonable notion that on very small people the normal position of seat belt can be injurious.

My car is a 1988 Canadian spec, so there are not airbags in the front, but we need room for mom there. There are full 3 point belts in the rear.

I have two other cars. Not the issue.

The basic issue with any seat I have seen is the size or shape of the base of the seat. They are all too wide at the back, too square, too irregular, too something

So to recap, any positive feedback on a currently or recently for sale (no problem buying a new but discontinued model if cleared somewhere) boosters for rear seat location in a 944?

Obviously I would prefer it if someone has good experience with an unmodified readily available low cost option. If I have to pay for something special I need to know in advance that it works
