Default Some progress

Here are a few pics of the new Wasted spark set-up and how I arranged it.
pics are grainy for some reason.

Ugh.. where did the pic go? I was trying to show someone.. I hope all is not lost.

Wow, interesting placement! I have always wondered with these cars, why change to the waste spark type ignition? Is it purely for the higher energy output coils?? On cars use waste spark from OE, WS does not improve gas milage, or get rid of unburnt fuel/gasses in the combustion chamber. So technicaly the higher output potential available by using a different type coil seems to be the only benefit. But even with that, there are aftermarket coils that will fit our cars....

Is this just one of those things that's necc. to change to when switching to a stand-alone? So to make a long question short...... "Why?" Thanks for schooling me on this, it's one of the things I just never asked about....

So to make a long question short...... "Why?"
because it's the simplest way to get rid of the distributor.

...Also it just looks neat

well........ not exactly......

- increased spark energy (benefit as boost increases, and other fuel types, etc)
- additional timing control - When used with other components you can control timing (custom tune/change ignition timing based on several factors)
- Ok is also looks cool

Cuz everyone told me I was stupid if I didn't. -
It is truly Cleaner. The Motec diagrams and instructions almost begged for it. and huge head room for large boost or revs.

Hopefully you don't get home for at least another month. ! Or down here at least. I'm hoping to get it running by then.

I was just going to cut a hole out and run the wires through it. My friend at the shop had these bulk head things lying around. He threw them at me and said to "do it again."

Yep! Although the timing control comes from the driver, not the coil configuration. However waste spark eliminates the need for a cam angle sensor which makes this much easier. Take a look at my sig
