Angry Arghhh - new wheels and one rubs!

I just put new wheels on the car. At the rear, 9x17" Cup 1 replicas with the correct offsets for my 1986 951 (Rear offset 15mm). To my dismay, the driver's side rear tire rubs on the fender lip (at the front of the wheel well, just above the rock guard decal) over certain bumps. I am running new 255/40 ZR17 General Exclaim UHP tires.

A visual on the the suspension indicates that the cambers look about the same(maybe slightly more on the passenger side). The distance from the fender lip to the ground is 1/8" more on the passenger side than on the driver's side.

I guess my options are

1. roll the fender lip about 3/16"
2. machine the wheel hub down about 1/4"
3.????

Any thoughts about other options?

(FYI - it has been a bad Porsche day - leaving the garage when I closed my door, the mirror glass fell off the driver's side dorr mirror and when I got home, I noticed all of the clear coat has peeled off on the rear bumper corner and finally I dynoed the car, which is stock but for a Linsdey boost enhancer, on only got 206 hp at 10.8 psi).

Had the exact same problem. I took my 4" grinder with a cutting wheel on it and trimed the lip off a little. Then I taped off the area and primed and painted the fresh metal with touch up paint to prevent rust. The whole process including jacking the car and removing the wheel took about an hour or so. If you choose to roll it instead, be super careful so you don't bend the 1/4 panel around the wheel opening.

206 stock sounds good when you factor in the drivetrain losses. that means you're getting at least 226 and probably more around 236.

what's the color of your car & wheels? i have a black 951 with black cup 1's & i really like the look of yours. is it grey?

Car is graphite metallic - wheels are charcoal. The picture is decieving due to the lighting conditions and the fact that I had just washed, clay barred(?) and waxed the car.
