Default boost gauge(s) issue

Upon start up the Zeitronix reads about 4" vacuum.
Neither gauge moves during part throttle driving. Previously, light throttle inputs would move the gauges up to about 0 psi (1 bar absolute)
Let off the gas; full engine decel and the gauge doesn't move.

Give it more gas and once there is a few psi positive pressure (I'm guessing) both boost gauges respond and climb as pressure increases (I have no way of knowing if they are accurate when they move).

After this the gauges both move back down very, very SLOWLY. I can be cruising along with no throttle input and the gauges are still creeping down and reading positive pressure where there obviously is none. After probably 30 seconds they usually settle at about 1-2" vacuum (just under "1 bar" on the factory gauge).

So, what would happen if I have a leak in my KLR vacuum line? My stock gauge may respond very slowly? That's what it's doing and I've been trying to figure out why. My aftermarket gauge which is tied in from the intake manifold shows around 20 in/hg vacuum.
Danny, does my issue sound like yours?

Did you feed the zeitronix sensor off the KLR line? If so, have you checked to see if the KLR line is kinked somewhere? That might make it slow to respond to changes (as it takes time from the pressure to get passed the obstruction).

Yes, I put it under the glove box as per your instructions But I didn't already have an aftermarket boost gauge so I put a T on the end of the klr line.
I'll go look, but I know it has worked right since I put the passenger foot well back together last time. Maybe it moved while there was pressure in the line or something?
Thanks Tom, your web page and advise on here has helped me numerous times.
Off to explore under the carpet once more...

My aftermarket gauge is slow but that's only because I broke the autometer boost gauge twice.

That happened to me recently. I was convinced I had a leak somewhere and even took the pod off the pillar and disassembled the gauge. I was about to lose my mind until I followed the line the whole way and it was kinked right behind the radio.

Is yalls stock boost gauge really slow? I need to find a video of how responsive it should be stock and compare it to mine.
