pauer tuning is the only place that offers a stainless damper line (the really short line) with the proper metric 90-degree angled fittings;

also, not sure if this was discussed, but in the stock fuel lines, the delivery line is bigger (wider diameter) than the return line. pauer tuning offers a fatter delivery line to match the stock fuel system. you can see the size differences here;

Vic @ PauerTuning helped me out (A LOT) when I first picked up my car. He's a good guy and I've seen his products first-hand, and they are competitive with anything out there right now. I'll second Nize's recommendation to use his SS lines.

+2

After reading the review that Nize wrote on his turbo choice I contacted Vic and he is easily the nicest and eastiest vendor to talk to and get good advice. he knows his stuff as much as anyone. but is also more then willing to give advise and help with any issue you may be having.

Or you can just buy the fittings yourself and save some money. They take about 10 minutes to put together.

that's some good do-it-yourself info jeremy, thanks!

just a note: the standard '90-degree' fittings won't work because they are too tall and will not clear the cam cover. you must use the special short forged RTEC fittings to get the clearance.

the story goes, lindsey saw pauer tuning's stainless braided fuel lines and copied them. only, he didn't copy the bigger diameter delivery line nor the short fuel damper line.

Yeah Vic and I saw the first set of SS lines that were originally developed by Chris Cervelli @ Technodyne that used the BAT fittings but he didn't use as good of a compression fitting that can be had from europower (www.europowerinc.com) or a few other suppliers. Rennlisters also contributed to this project so no one really owns it and Vic's and mine are just slightly copied versions of someone else's so you may not be getting an accurate story. These have been around on rennlist for a long time now.

https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turbo-and-turbo-s-forum/88422-aeroquip-fuel-line-fittings.html

I usually have Motion Industries order the compression fittings for me because they're local to just about everyone. The europower PN's are as follows

JM 0610 TL (compression fitting) $9.87 (-6 feed line, 0810TLis the -8 line)
JM 0608 TL (compression fitting) $8.91
004101 - (nut) $.90
004051 (nut)$.81
010104 (bite ring)$.69
010054 (bite ring)$.57

The FS 1606 from BAT is the fitting to the dampener and is like $17.75 You can use the FS 1608 if you go with a -8 feed line and don't have to use a crazy adaptor.

The -6 feed line is plenty and has made upwards of 550HP so while the -8 is nice, it's not necessary for many people.

So for about $70 in materials and a half hour's worth of work you can build your own set. I've done about 25 sets of these for the local guys and Rennlist friends.

thanks for the info jeremy.

after searching (fruitlessly) for decent fire sleeves, i finally broke down and purchased my own in bulk. i've still got some left available for rennlisters at-cost which is cheaper (and better) than lindsey. details here;

agreed, but if you go from the stock fuel lines to the lindsey (or rennbay) stainless lines, you would be going backwards in fuel delivery performance from the stock system. i just wanted to make sure people realize this.

Guys, what you REALLY should do that I've never seen here is to convert the FPR to a compression fitting. Almost makes me sad to see some of you go through the trouble with upgrading the lines and such and still keep the push on hose and hose clamp on the FPR.

Saw off the little swedge on the FPR inlet pipe and replace with a compression fitting.
