Does anyone know if Aeroquip makes a metric hose fitting that will bolt onto the stock fuel damper?

If Aeroquip doesn't, is there any fitting company that does?

Not sure But I don't think so. I use aeroquip on my mustang and I don't recall in their catalog seeing anything metric. If I remember correctly you don't have use the dampner, all you need is the regulator.

I am planning on using AN fittings for the hard lines coming through the strut tower - I will flare the ends of the hard lines as necessary.

There are metric size fuel injection grade lines available that you can use along with clamps to replace your stock fuel lines. They don't have the braided outer covering but if you want that the most local speed shops have the dress up kits. You would have to cut off the original hose with a dremel tool, carefully not cutting into the fitting, do the same on the end that mounts to the car, then take the old hose and fittings down to a hydraulic hose shop and get the appropriate size metric i.d. fuel injection grade hose and clamps. You will then have the best hose for the purpose.

Tazman - called BAT and inquired about the hose fitting for the fuel damper. They were very helpful and offered a couple of solutions.

1. Use a female/female adapter with metric threads on one end and JIC or standard threads on the other. This way, a standard type adapter can be attached to the damper, and fitting a -8 reuseable hose fitting would be readily available.

OR

2. Use the 16MM x 1.5 reuseable hose fitting that bolts directly to fuel damper. The only problem is that their hose fitting will only accept a -6 size hose.

Did you end up using a -6 hose size for your fuel damper?

Yes I did option 2 and used all -6 hose. I even replaced the line from the damper to the fuel rail.

I might as well upgrade that hose too now that I'm here.
