Thumbs up

Awesome write up...perfect timing, I've been contemplating this for a while now. Happy to see it's actually do-able. Thanks for taking the time to present this.

You may want to try this. Get an old unwanted steak knife and a propane torch. Heat the tip of the knife with the torch until it glows orange then use the knife to cut/melt the rubber seal. You may see some flame and lots of smoke so make sure you are in a well ventilated area. It only works for a few seconds then you have to reheat the tip. So have the torch is one hand and the knife in the other so you can repeat often.

Good Luck!

Well if an old thread is going to be dug up, at least good info was added. I'll try that old knife idea.

I applied the propane torch to the wide underside of the frame. I went back and forth until the sealant started to smoke and pryed the window away from the rail easily. You can do a side at a time and be done with this job much easier than this write up.

Like I said "We'll ventilated area". Do a side and take a break, repeat.

Well done!; plus extra points for the appropriate amount of four letter words in your write up. All write ups need to learn from this!
