Do I get the impression that the trend to use MLS h/g's is swinging back to using stock around here?

If the head and block is straight the MLS gaskets won't leak.

Hi David, Glad to hear that there is no damage to the block. A headgasket failure after 50K miles on a modified engine isn't terribly bad.

I will only use MLS on a known flat surface (either fresh machined or thoroughly checked old surface).BTW – it looks like you are running pretty rich (most likely the boost leak!))

i would not mind doing a headgasket change after 50k on a mod motor. Do you have anymore pics of the engine bay and the car too?

The hole in that hose sure would help to explain those dyno numbers we talked about. It will be interesting to see your next dyno run.

We have a couple of tricks we use around here to keep the MLS gaskets from weeping. We use MLS gaskets on just about every motor we build here. From BMW's to Toyota's, the MLS have worked very well. And for trick of the trade..........We use a small amount of silicone around the water jackets before we install the head gasket. If you do this, the MLS wont leak externally or internally unless ofcourse your head lifts.

I figured I would add to this a little since I dont want to see a bunch of guys going out and putting massive goop on thier heads and then they dont seal.We us a light coating on certain applications, other applications will have the gaskets put on dry.
