Default Gauge Time - Pic/Advice Request

Time to get a boost gauge and Air/fuel gauge.... I am looking for pics of various mounting positions, and matching gauges with a color nearest to the OE amber/orange colors. If no pics avail, would still like feedback reg. what pro's and cons you have found with your testing.

I'm kinda stuck on the Innovate XD-16 as far as the WBO2 goes, but again, up to suggestions. Thanks!

my boost gauge is in the center console- i trimmed out my cubbie so the guage would slide into it w/o bowing it up or down. then i cut the back off the cubbie level w/ the back of the gauge and put a new "backing" on the cubbie so its real shallow now, the the back of the guage bolts to the new backing for the cubbie as well. I throw my tire pressure gauge in there and it doesnt slide way down in there. I have my boost/egt/afr and lamda also in my zeitronix which is up on the dash- i may be moving that soon though. I also cut out my center console where one of the blanks were and put my boost controller in there.

Cool monkey.

I'm considering moving my AFR and Boost gauges to below the stereo head unit. I like the visibility of having them on the pillar, but it is starting to seem a little ricey for me. Moving them would allow me to put my Oil Temp gauge back in so all three would be there. I don't really need or use the cubby anyway.

I'd like to know opinions on how much harder it is to watch the gauges while driving if they're mounted in the cubby vs on the pillar.

Any comments on one vs. the other?

Mine are under the radio, but a bit difficult to see when trying to keep an eye on the road. I have the pillar pod ready to install (and I might even get to that some day). Some of the vent panel mounts seem good, but I don't want to give up the vents.

AFR gauge is the XD-16. Other two are AutoMeter Sport Comps (I painted the bezels black). Panel is from LR, but I covered it in leather.

I like the one that Techo has, seems like a great location, and losing a vent does not bother me. Is that a one off piece or something avail from someone?? Also, any pics at night? Curious on colors still.

Autometer boost gauge - I had to paint the rim black because it was silver, but aside from that I think it matches also perfectly.

It only covers up the stock boost gauge and the tach past 7200.

I chose VDO for my boost gauge because it looked factory:

You do lose a vent, but the defroster flap still functions as it should.

I fabricated the panel out of a sheet of lexan. Check this thread for details on everything. Other than the panel, you need a piece of aluminum sheet, 2 speed nuts, 3x longer screws and 45* angle rings (available from AutoMeter).

https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/405238-aigbag-wheel-gauge-pod.html

I still have the template for the panel, i can cut one out for you for cost of shipping and a couple bucks for my time. It does require a bit of fabrication to get it to mount. Its nothing to hard, all you really need is a drill, holesaw and a dremel with cutoff wheels.

I also still have a spare cluster surround and for the right price i can maybe be coaxed into cutting everything out for an almost direct swap (other than adding the gauges and wiring them.

The VDO gauge is thru dial lighting, not the side reflector type. With the red bulb cover on, it matches the gauge cluster lights perfectly (red LED bars).
