Default Where's Turby? - Update

Came across this today and it made me laugh. I guess he's been in since last April but his case is actually very popular among the legal crowd because Lawyers are having a hard time defending them..............

"Mr. Kipper, 27, joined a growing group of camera-phone owners who can't seem to resist capturing themselves breaking the law. "As a criminal defense attorney, it's very difficult when a client proclaims his innocence but incriminates himself by taking photos of the stolen items," says William Korman, the Boston attorney who represented Mr. Kipper. The snap-happy chop-shop owner, who pleaded guilty in April, is now serving a sentence of two-and-a-half to five years and couldn't be reached for comment."

I actually met Turby at a local Rennlist gathering of 951/944 owners in MA a few years ago. As I recall he was driving a somewhat beat up silver 951 at the time. He was quite interested in my nice clean 951. Little did I know..!!

What scares me about this is 2.5 or even 5 years will pass all to quickly and Turby (while walking a bit funny from his time in) will be loose. Free to pick up where he left off as I seriously doubt that he will become a born again good citizen. I am afraid he is just picking up tricks of the trade while in the slammer.

...well at least he won't come back onto Rennlist anytime soon! He knows now how tight of a community we are, and how much we care about, and respect other's property.

No kidding. He is the reason I will never host another gathering. Funny, he had no interest in my car.
