Dude don't sell it, this is just part of the break-in and tuning process. Yes it's a bit ridiculous, and yes you will regret selling it!

What can I say, I'm shocked! I have always enjoyed your posts and agree you should rethink your decision over the next few days or so. Frustrating as it may be, it's just a blown head gasket, so hopefully just a little fine tuning needed.

Anyway, all the best with whatever you decide... it's a shame we're rhd here... I'm surprised you'd consider letting it go for just 10,000.

Very sad to hear.
My guess is that either the timing in the tuning is way off or it wasn't built right.

I would remove the head, have it checked for warping, replace the gasket and then change the software to something proven for a stroker.
Run it on the dyno or high load in 4-5th gear and check for detonation with suitable equipment.

You have shorter rods am I right?
That will make it more detonation "happy"..

I agree, put it up for a bit, come back to it. It's really frustrating after a lot of work and have something happen.

Coolant in the intercooler pipes? Thats not a typical headgasket problem. Get a radiator cap tester and pressurize the cooling system and look for the problem

Pics of the batwing and AIR splitter, please?

I'm also interested in the mirrors and antenna. Can I get pictures of those as well?

I'll shoot you a PM when I see the goods.

Ouch I missed that!!!

Guess what, I met with a Norweigan 951 owner this weekend and he had a Lindsey Super 61 fail on him - it filled up the whole intercooler with water/oil mix!

Sounds like the exact same problem. I would take it easy and check that turbo out before you let go!! Don't do anything hasty now

[QUOTE=RKD in OKC;5178353]Pulled hard pipes there is a little coolant in throttle hard pipe and throttle side of intercooler. QUOTE]

Ouch, the only time I've ever found coolant in the Hard Pipes the motor split the #2 cylinder from a bad tune/chip with too much timing. Lets hope that's not the case here.

Any interest in trading it for a fabulous Mercedes? https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale-ads-member-to-member-fs-wtb-free/386592-1998-mercedes-e320-4-matic-winter-car-second-car.html

Lart, deciding if I really want to let it go. If so, it is all yours.

Don't do it! As much as I love lart, I don't want to see your car go to him!

Would be a good idea to at least find the cause of exactly what happened. Bad turbo, tuning, etc. Let your emotions settle, then decide. After that, if you do part with it, you'll have the assurance you made a sound decision.

Why not talk with Lindsey and let them at least look to help pin-point.... They should have a boroscope to check the cylinders.
