Will a even spring rate between the front and rear cause the car to understeer/oversteer?

Since these cars are very close to 50:50 balance, I'd think it will be neutral. I plan on dialing-in the under/oversteer with the adjustable rear swaybar.

There are many differing views on setups and rates. Some people swear by heavier up front and others at the rear. You can do a bit of reading on here and other sites to gauge what may work with you. Check out the Racing forum too.

Hypothetically, it should be somewhere close to neutral. But there a lot of factors, other than driver preference and style (which is no less important), that will also affect the car's cornering ability such as:

Tire sizes (mainly width) front/rear
Tire pressures, too high/low, constant f/r or staggered
Shock valving and settings
Sway bar sizes and settings
Suspension bushings types and condition
Alignment setup - this is a biggie!
Weight distribution front-rear
Ride height, overall and front-rear rake
Aero enhancements
Etc.

That's why they call the perfect setup "elusive". It's never perfect, and changes track to track, day to day, even lap to lap. But we're always on the hunt nontheless.

i run 245/45/16's all around and 400lb springs up front and 525's in the rear. With my torsions reindexed and 375's in the rear i had some oversteer issues, but it feels (so far) like w/o torsions and a heavier spring the car is more balanced. WE'll see when i hit the track.
