Default Turbo on ebay...would this work?

I know nothing about turbo specs and what it means so I need your guys help!

I found this turbo on ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K27-T...em350029104256 ) and am not sure if it would work on our cars. For the money and general specs it sounds great but have no idea.

so what do you guys think? would this be a imrovement over a 26/6? if it did enhance performance, would this spool decently?

I know this sounds funny a cheap turbo for $199 expecially when you look at durability but for that money you can buy 3!

Anything would "work",
But that looks like it will take a lot of finesse to get it to "fit"

looks alittle large on the hot side there- talk about lag! Would take some definite custom work to fit since it doesnt have the kkk center section...oil cooled only.

If you loose a compressor wheel or nut or have a similar problem and your engine injests a bunch of metal you could end up buying alot more than a new turbo. Seriously, there is a reason quality products cost what they do. I am all for saving money, like with our cheap foglight/driving light mod, but a turbo charger is not a place I would ever go cheap. My $0.02

There is a company that will rebuild and balance these Chinese knockoff turbos for a fair price. At the same time, they are getting better every day. I know of a miata guy who has had amazing success with these $200-300 turbochargers. I personally have no problem paying for the real thing, but if you want to save some money, "knockoff" turbos are becoming a more reasonable option.

so it would have too much lag? When I did the search I was looking for a k27 housing turbo. For no reason other then finding any kind of turbo that would suit my needs for a good price.
