I'm still a little confused re: wiring. So my plan is to simply have the second fog light (AKA "driving light") running simultaneously as the fogs. Can I merely tap into the low-beam flip-up lights?

Also, if I'm running 55W H4s would I still be OK adding this extra fog light?

BTW thanks for the idea!

If by simultaneously you mean you want to run them when your low beams are on, then yes, you tap into the wiring for the low beams to power your driving lights. See post #11.

Believe you will only have to upgrade your fuses. Don't have the new rating or fuse #s handy, but that is basically what is provided in the Paragon kit. I believe this is true so long as you are running a 55W H3 in your driving lights.

Check my post on the subject matter. I would personally run it directly off the alternator and use relays to trigger. Im not sure how well the stock headlight wiring would handle the extra current with 55w headlights and 55w driving lights. I think its going to be the same effect of running a 100w headlight on stock wiring.

Completed the 'conversion' in about an hour. Salvaged the lenses out of a set of shattered fog lights. The only major short coming of using a spare fog light reflector is aiming them is a bit more difficult. Still possible, but will require removing the light to make adjustments. If you can find the reflector from a damaged driving light, you would basically have the exact same functionality as a new OEM euro driving light.

When people say that I need to put larger wire in my wiring harness for the driving lights, does that meanthis wiring harness:

Or all the wires from the fogs to the relays/fuses?

I want the driving lights to be on when the fogs are on reguardless of the headlights and brights. How should I wire this?

I would use the fog light switch to activate a 5 pin relay, then use one power terminal from the relay to power the driving light and one to power the fog light - only need to use thicker wire from the relay to the bulb

also I still have 1 good fog light for anyone that wants to do this conversion

I know that this an old post but it's one that I parked in the back of my head for a "to do." Took about 30 minutes to fit the extra reflectors in today. I'm ordering Paragon's driving light kit to wire them in unless Travis has a provision on his light wiring kit.

I haven't seen you around lately JE but if you somehow find this post thank you.

I too did this mod, worked out great. I actually finally got around to hooking up the driving lights this past weekend. I used a spare foglight switch to keep things looking factory and ran seperate wires for the driving light circuit activated by a relay so 100w bulbs will be no problem. Check out this thread here for wiring instructions (i will post an update shortly with the correct wiring diagram).
