Well we are looking at a few options George. I don't think these guys will actually build a box complete for you, but they will custom make parts. I will check into it at a later date and yes this was the outfit that Joe was going to be using. They do stellar work which goes into Ferrari as well.

I just pm'd you ST. George and Patrick are right. I'm going with Eric Johnson at Carquip. After a years worth of research and pricing, I'm going with a 3.1 ring and pinion. You may want to look into this as well Jim. It's going to be much stronger with more teeth and just plain bigger. Thing is, it's not $3,000. It's going to be $3200 plus tax. Anyone want to jump in, I'll get a deal. I haven't ordered yet but I'm getting ready to. Why do you want dog gears anyway?

Wait, I think it is $3200 with tax. Either way it's a lot. Who wants to jump in with me? Patrick. If there is anyway possible you can find out the price from your shop down there, please pm me and I also need a lsd for the tranny as well. Please let me know asap. Thanks. Joe

Joe, I've made some requests. These guys are a bit slow to respond though so let's see what we can. I know that the big LSD in that picture is the one for a 968. It's a 6 clutch full 80% locker and it's not cheap.
Oh and apparently I owe ST an apology. Looks like there is another factory r&p, but now he's further down the trail...

3:1???
Where'd that come from?

Dogs and straight gears just for racing, really.
The noise doesn't bother me.
They are very strong, and save time shifting.

It's a custom piece. The charts show this gives the 968 box very similar ratios as the new six speed vette box with slightly higher top end.

George D is right on target as I'm am gunning for the vettes. However, you're a bit off George. Tool won't have me as I'm also making custom fifth and sixth gears as well.I won't even be in redline at 6500rpm.

The 3.1 is much stronger with more teeth and still really quick take offs with minumal spin. Let me know, I'll try to get a hook up on them.

Sorry, I'll be at 230mph at 6500 rpm.
