Default Fog light mod

My drivers side euro foglight lens was cracked and instead of buying a new lens I wanted to try something different.
I got some round driving lights and wired those to the high beams.
I'm running projector HID's for low beams.
I made a carbonfiber filler panel around the driving lights.
No more foglights.
I guess it looks a little different.

thats awsome. Im thinking of doing some custom stuff like the shorten headlights etc in the future. Any chance you'll make some more of the fogs?

planning on shaving the squirters for the headlights, marker lights front and rear, and doing something w/ the fogs. If i get froggy i may shave my windshield squirters as well since the whole system is gone anyway.

Here is an idea...

Have half of the old fog light a vent and the other half the light? What do ya think?

Nice work on the CF by the way.

I thought about doing a brake cooling duct on the outside. I dunno.
Thanks for your comments everyone.

Looks very good

I am planning to do a similar upgrade to my fog lights on my 993 with a projector lens and a HID light source.

Have you considered HID lights for your driving lights?

Cost of doing this is minimal, just some CF or figerglass, resin, piece of pvc pipe and paint/clear.
It takes quite a bit of time todo this, however, escpecially in CF.
Eventually I wil get some HID projectors.

interesting tman -
you just never know until it all said and done and you can stand back and look. Good fit and finish. Looks like a nice job.

All that said - not my taste.... would fill completely or back to factoy

think it would look cool with dual projectors also. More light then too. Do you have any pics on what you used to create the mold/CF piece? I am wondering how you made the fit and finish so good.

It looks great Tman and a very nice looking car.

I would love to-do that to my car. I would like to go with half HID fog lights half cooling vent idea. I want HID fogs and do-away with my head light all together.

sorry, I didn't take pic's during building, but basically just laid 2 layers of CF on factory foglight on a piece of thin cardboard 1/2" bigger than the light and after resin cured trimmed to fit the opening.
