I asked this on the othe thread also but In ignition wise

I am looking for plug wires witch I can custom make for my 16 v project.. I need the plug side to be exactly as on 968 but the wire lenght should be adjustable since will be using those COP-s, and they are installed on top of the cam-cover so stock lenght wires are JUST TO Long and would look ugly on my engine bay.. Of course one option is to buy 4 wires witch are made for 1st cilinder in other word shortest possible..

Coil

have any of you seen custom plug-wire kit available..

ittia, by all means go and see those guys. I have emailed them a few times in English and they don't respond. I had a German friend phone them and they were very keen to send some to me. I showed them the same pics of Corleones car and they said you could adapt them to fit same Xenons apparently so we'll just have to wait and see.
Patrick, did you get these yet?

At least I have pictures of before you de-decaled it. Car looked awesome then, still does. Black wheels with an orange lip would look best I think.

One other thing I have thought about, and what I have discussed with Corleone is my CR and E85..

Since I was thinking to switch to E85 I thought, maybe it would be wise to put back stock thick headgasket (1.3mm) and run 11:1 CR with E85.. + change the hotside from 0.82 to 1,06.

With stock thick headgasket I could use the full benefit of squish + we all know that with ethanol is very crucial if it detonates, stock headgasket will elimante that risk what I had with thinker headgasket and fu**ed up squish area.

1,06 Ar again will allow me to make more power with less boost.. Since I am going to run 11:1 CR then its no problem to make it spool on low-rpm + I can run less boost, less EGT and way more igniton advance (more=5-7 degrees on load). Aim is to have around same power (500-550RWHP) with 1-1.2 bar boost. It could be that the stock exhaust manny is on the way to make that high power on that low boost..

Markus the higher CR will require less advance not more

Genuine coil packs used for NISSAN SR20DET were not satisfactory to provide enough energy because of the design restriction.

"SplitFire Super Direct Ignition System" can provide 150% of electricity to spark plug compared to the genuine coil at all RPM by the modified structure of coils. It also improves power, torque and combustion efficiency by complete combustion.

The special circuit adopted for this unit helps to start engine at lower voltage. It provides the excellent starting performance even at lower voltage. It also eliminates noise and RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) for audio equipment because plug wires were eliminated. By conducting radical research and development of ignition system of the SR engine, SplitFire Super Direct Ignition System enabled to improve the performance of engines of not only normal cars but also hard tuned cars.
For responding customers' eagerness, we added SplitFire Direct Ignition System for NISSAN SILVIA CA Engine in our lineup.

Basic Component Parts
Ignition coil/ Control Case/ Main Harness/ Sub Harness/ set of screw and spacer
Use the Nippon denso COP, Honda and Suzuki uses them on there motorcyles along with numerous Lemans prototpyes builders , I have had very good experiences with them , light compact and i do believe the right height for your application ..Stay away from the VAG crap ......

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's referring to combined effect of E85 and lower boost rather than just higher CR... from what i understand, you can generally run more advance with E85 and achieve similar power with less boost due to the oxygen content of the ethanol in E85, of course you need more fuel though so you haev to look at injector and fuel pumop sizing as well as making sure the rest of your fuel system is compatible with E85.

Dear All

Its been a great being with you all, discussing different matters regarding our awsome cars etc. I have to admit that I have decided to go the route of downgrading my car into stock (well allmost stock). So all the project thouhgts I had for 2008 regarign E85 and other issues are terminated.

Shortly my project thoughts for 2008 will remani

Black leather interiour from 968
Mattblack 18" techart wheels'
Iinstall Stock KLR/DME + chips, Loom
Rebuild 2.5 liter stock engine..
Install stock but 2.5 liter 8 valve engine with 3" Lindsey SS exhaust
Remove stickers from the car (done)
Polish the paint
Tint windows little darker..
Install stock Suspension

Car is also for sale if someone is interested..
